January!

So, January is here. It is very weird not to have Parker playing indoor soccer right now. (But it also feels great not to have to be in the middle of the soccer politics!) When Parker went to the orthopedic specialist on Wednesday, we were suprised to find out that his ankle is broken in two places. The original place and also on the growth plate. The doctor ordered him to be in a wheelchair for a while when he is in public, so that he doesn't slip or get knocked over. When I took him to school on Thursday, there were girls squealing Parker's name that I didn't know. When I asked him who they were, he said that he didn't know who they were either.

Anyway, Stephanie is already in rehersals for her play. This year it is completely forbidden to videotape any part of the play. It is very difficult to think that we won't have this one to watch another time. Stephanie's part is pretty funny. She starts out as a nanny and ends up being a pirate. She is very, very pleased that she has five songs!

Elizabeth and Barrett have moved on to new primary classes, as it is the new year. Robert had to go in with Barrett in his new class, as there is another boy in his class that Barrett loves to follow in play. They can get quite rowdy at times and this is another change that is a distraction for little boys. Elizabeth can hardly wait for her friend's birthday tomorrow. She is very excited as this friend, Ivie, will be getting baptized next month. They will both be baptized this year and Elizabeth is really looking forward to it.

Well, I need to move on to other things now. We are all happy here, knowing that the Chargers are moving on.

Happy January! (Also known as 'the best of the months')
